Drop Off Club

We offer a morning drop off club every day during term time. Mrs Earl and Mrs Fiona Hallett are the supervisory members of staff. Parents may bring their children to school at 8.00 am to be cared for until the beginning of the school day.  

Aims
  • To provide an affordable, early drop-off childcare facility for parents/carers.
  • To provide a welcoming, safe and secure environment for pupils before the beginning of the school day.
  • To provide structured play activities enabling children to engage and learn with children from other year groups.
Organisation
  • The club is open from 08:00 – 08:45 each day.
  • The club is open to all pupils who attend the school.
  • Bookings are made a half term in advance – see bookings section below.
  • Ad-hoc bookings can also be made – see bookings section below. 
Staffing Staffing follows the ratio of 1:8 for children aged 4-8 years and 1:10 for children aged 9 and above.
Booking Bookings need to be made for each half term on a booking form handed to the school office or emailed to the club by the end of the previous half term.
The exception being the first half of the autumn term in September where booking forms should be emailed to the club by 31st August.

Ad-hoc bookings can be made up to 12:00 the day before, or 12:00 on Friday for Monday club, by contacting the school office.

Cost Sessions cost £4 each if booked in advance or £4.50 for ad hoc bookings.
Payment Payments must be made at the time of booking.

Payment can be made by:

  • Online payment via Tucsasi 
Cancellation In the event of school closure parents will be notified by SMS using the school’s usual notification system.
Individual pupil session cancellations may be made up to 09:00 the day before.
Refunds If the club is cancelled due to any reason in the cancellation section above, a refund or credit will be offered.
Due to the need to organise staffing in advance, refunds will not be made if a child does not attend for a reason not in the cancellation section.
Safeguarding and Health and Safety The club follows existing school policies and procedures for safeguarding and health and safety.
A separate risk assessment has been undertaken for Drop off Club sessions.
Behaviour Pupils are expected to follow existing school behaviour policies and procedures whilst at Drop off Club.
Registration Parents are to register their child(ren) with club personnel at drop-off at the main school entrance or in the library.
Food No food will be provided at the club, nor will children be permitted to eat food brought from home at the club.
